Terms & Conditions

1. General

  1. These Terms & Conditions govern participation in the Reading Stars Challenge, an annual online English Reading Competition organized by Dinggram Technology, India.
  2. By registering for or participating in the competition, the school, parent/guardian (where applicable), and participant agree to these Terms & Conditions.
  3. Dinggram Technology reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the competition or these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any updates will be published on the official website.

2. Eligibility

  1. The competition is open to students in Tamil Nadu.
  2. Students must participate before the closing date.
  3. Parent/guardian are responsible for ensuring that student information submitted during registration is accurate.

3. Competition Rules

  1. The competition is conducted online through the official Dinggram platform.
  2. Participants must complete all assigned reading activities within the specified time.
  3. Any attempt to impersonate another participant or manipulate results will result in immediate disqualification.
  4. The organizers reserve the right to reject incomplete, incorrect, or fraudulent submissions.

4. Audio & Video Consent

  1. Participants are assessed through audio and/or video recordings.
  2. By participating, the student's parent or legal guardian confirms that they have provided consent for the recording and submission of the student's voice and/or video for assessment purposes.
  3. The submitted recordings will be used solely for competition evaluation, quality assurance, training and improvement of assessment systems, certificate verification, and promotional purposes related to the Reading Stars Challenge.
  4. The organizers will not sell or distribute participant recordings to third parties for commercial purposes.

5. AI-Assisted Evaluation

  1. Student performances may be evaluated using AI-assisted assessment technology together with predefined evaluation criteria.
  2. The organizers reserve the right to conduct manual reviews whenever necessary.
  3. The decision of the organizing committee regarding evaluation and results shall be final.

6. Results, Certificates & Awards

  1. Digital certificates will be issued to eligible participants after successful completion of the competition.
  2. Schools may receive recognition awards based on overall performance and the award criteria announced for that edition of the competition.
  3. Certificates may include a unique Certificate ID or QR Code for verification.

7. Data Privacy

  1. Participant information will be used only for administering the competition, evaluation, issuing certificates, communication, and related educational activities.
  2. Reasonable measures will be taken to protect participant data and recordings.

8. Limitation of Liability

  1. The organizers shall not be responsible for technical issues including internet connectivity, device failures, browser incompatibility, power interruptions, or other circumstances beyond their control.
  2. The organizers reserve the right to postpone or reschedule the competition due to unforeseen circumstances.

9. Data Protection and Publicity

  1. By submitting their personal details, the entrant agrees to Dinggram Technology processing those details in accordance with the purposes made known the entrant at the time of collection and in accordance with Dinggram Technology’s privacy policy which can be viewed at https://www.dinggram.com/privacy-policy.aspx. Any entrant who is entering the competition via e-mail may opt out of receiving any marketing communications from Dinggram Technology
  2. Dinggram Technology shall comply with all applicable requirements of the Data Protection Act 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation, any successor legislation or other applicable law.

10. Liability

  1. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude or limit Dinggram Technology’s liability for death or personal injury caused by their staff or supplier’s negligence or for fraud. Subject to this, Dinggram Technology cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant entering the competition or as a result of accepting any prize. Dinggram Technology is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software failure of any email or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, telephone lines or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer or mobile telephone related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in the competition.
  2. Dinggram Technology cannot promise that the services relating to the competition will be free from errors or omissions nor that they will be available uninterrupted and in a fully operating condition.These services may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the case of system failure, maintenance or repair or for reasons reasonably beyond the control of Dinggram Technology. Dinggram Technology will not be liable in the event that all or any part of the service relating to the competition is discontinued, modified or changed in any way.

11. Acceptance

  1. By registering for the Reading Stars Challenge, schools, participants, and parents/guardians acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
